Who is Deny?… born and raised in Toronto, I did my graduate studies at the renowned Pratt Institute in New York where I obtained my Master’s degree in Graphic Design Communication. After graduating, I worked in design studios, advertising agencies and PR firms in New York, Tel Aviv and Toronto. Having lived and worked in such diverse, cosmopolitan cities has allowed me the opportunity to experience each location’s unique flavor and design sensibility – and informed my own global design aesthetic. Working abroad with different groups of creatives broadened how I develop solutions to accommodate the challenges of today’s global markets.

Why choose Deny?

Her ability to bring a high level of technical skills and sophistication to my projects, while still respecting budget and other small business constraints, has made her invaluable to me. Her advice is impeccable, whether it be regarding paper stock, graphical elements for a logo, choice of font for web page, or which printer to use for a particular project.Carolyn Gazeley, Principle, Launch InSight, Portland, OR.

I had the pleasure of working with Deny as I navigated a recent career pivot... Deny applied her magic to ensure that all my materials including my LINKEDIN profile, my resume and my presentation not only caught the eye of prospective employers, but worked cohesively to capture my individual brand and portray my unique selling points. Deny is the best at what she does!Paula Harlan, Nonprofits@LinkedIn, Social Impact, Talent and Engagement.

A design consultant, designer and graphics/interactive media educator, based in San Diego, I enjoy investigating the brands, visual messaging, and designs companies employ to reach prospective customers - and assisting them to make their products or services more compelling.

For over 30 years, I have provided design services for clients in various industries (health care, education, sports, banking, among others) and various formats (logo design, corporate branding, website design direction, package design, etc.).

As a manager of creatives and as well as an instructor, I have mentored young designers. I discern where their skills need polishing and where their projects need refinement.

Each experience informs my design acumen.

Consulting with different teams and/or individuals I work to provide clarity, focus on each individual task with detailed precision as well as design alternatives - that is my superpower.

Of course if a project situation requires, I can also provide design suggestions and carry them through to completion.

Mostly what I excel at is helping you get UNSTUCK - within your boundaries of time and budget!
